Fog Lane Park, established in 1926, is one of Manchester’s earliest public parks, situated between Withington and Didsbury. Spanning approximately 46.6 acres, it offers a blend of open grassy areas, tree-lined paths, and diverse recreational facilities, including football pitches, tennis courts, a children’s playground, a skate park, and wildlife ponds . The park’s name is believed to derive from “Yorkshire Fog,” a type of grass that still grows throughout the area .
